A Black women softball team, the Headhunters team was organized after a paird of Black players were taken off a local team. Terry Boyd and Ricky Gillespie were approached and consented to coach. The team was named Headhunters by Etta Jackson. THe vision of an all Black womens softball team became a reality. History, newspaper clippings and team roster.
